The rimfire primer on 22LR always seemed to be the number one reliability issue with the ammo.

If I can ever find a J-frame at a reasonable price, I'd give it a go.

My understanding is it is specifically NOT recommended for revolvers. Gas bleed reduces velocity enough to affect expansion & penetration.

My OPinion is that they are late to the fight, trying to bring this out. That said, people have been very happy with the continued availability of Stinger for decades now.

Were it me with a short-barrel CCW .22, I'd be evaluating:

Eley Force
CCI Uppercut
CCI Stinger
Winchester Silvertip
Federal Punch

...probly in about that order. But, if Eley kept up the speed, and would print, I'd go no further. I trust their priming the most.

CCI priming, I trust well more than FedChester.

A "click" is kind of a problem.

Mom and Dad was up for dinner tonight. My petite mother has been shooting a 3” 8 shot Jframe. It isn’t the worst choice for her. I wouldn’t hesitate to use an 8 shot snubby as a BUG if I could find one reasonably priced.

That expansion on these seems to be fantastic and consistent,a good varmint round for sure on smaller targets.

I am a fan of their "segmented" rimfires,,have tested on water jugs,,3 consistent banana shaped petals. I carry in back up & proven critter killer,,3 different speeds,,subsonic great thru cans. I will prob try these new ones too.

Uppercut through 4 layers of clothing didn't do to well. Punch still looks like the best 22lr SD ammunition.

His Ruger LCP II needs cleaned. My DIL's needs cleaned every 300-500rds or it starts having light primer strikes.

Stick with 22lr Punch
This stuff is junk in a Handgun. Might be great in a rifle for varmints though.
