    Anyone shoot 17 HM2s?
It looks like the rifle is pretty hard to locate... about the only thing I can find seems to be Savage Mark II F at Gander Mountain.
Plenty of places have the ammo fairly cheap @ 10 cents or so a round.
Is there a shop in Indy that has anything (under $300)?

    Thanks!

Does anyone use the 17 HM2 for target shooting primarily, hunting on occasion?

Opinion on how long the ammo will be available?

Is the Savage Mark II 17 HM2 clearly 1'' or less ctc at 100 yards??

I picked up a CZ 452 in 17MachII at PSS a few years back. Love the gun. I use it for squirrel hunting mainly. Extremely accurate!

If you need some rounds, I had some HM2 shipped to me in error when I ordered some HMR. PM & see if we're close, maybe we can make a deal.

The rifles have become fairly scarce but still show up regularly on gunbroker. Whittakers gunshop down in KY is supposed to have a fairsized order of CZ's coming in January. They sold out fo the last ones fairly quickly. The round is developing a real following in hard core squirrel hunters. I own three. None of them for sale under $800.:rockwoot:

    They'll shoot.

A squirrel hunting buddy calls the HM2 the ultimate squirrel round. We've used a couple of ours on prairie dogs. Even my converted Charger will shoot near 1" at 100 yards on a calm day. I think the rumors of the HM2's demise are usually started by guys who have never shot one.

I honestly think that the "rumors of the Mach2's demise" were started by a bunch of wholesale 'distributors' (who sell to retailers).....that are reps for Co's that don't make a Mach2 rifle, and are sitting on a ****load of HMR and .22mag rifles, they need to move.
    Just my :twocents:.......
