    +1 on the RIA. I have the full sized GI. My buddy wasn't happy when we swapped 1911's ( his was a colt ). He could not believe what i paid, compared to his $1200 colt. Ive been thinking about a Para LTC in the near future, or just go cheap and get the RIA Tactical or Officers! Great Gun for the price, no doubt.

    Might look at them new Kimbers they got out. Nice pistol for the money. Only draw back I seen on 1 is they are factory ammo specific.
    Unless it's a 22 I don't buy factory ammo.


    I have 2 Kimber compacts, one is a Rapture and I must say I love it. It is my primary carry in the spring/summer months. It is lighter weight and small enough to conceal easily. Plus, of course .45 firepower if the worst happens. Yes, it's Kimber so you will pay some coin but it is worth it in the long run. Hope this helps
