Speaking of expensive baits, I was down at KY lake today throwing a 10XD on a ledge. I set the hook on what I think is a fish, but it doesn't budge. So I start playing the bow trying to break it loose when it starts moving. Took me 30 mins to get it in, had it hooked in the dorsal fin and couldn't fight it. The whole time I think I have something HUGE, praying it doesn't break my 10 lbs line and lose my $15 crankbait. Thankfully, I got my crankbait back.

That looks like it was a fun one to pull in. I wouldn't want to lose that bait, but that's a big fish.:)

Flatheads love their crankbaits. I was fishing the White River many years ago for smallmouth and thought I got hung up till it started moving... Nope 36lb flathead smacked it....thought I have a new world record smallmouth until reality set in that it was fighting like a log.
