Years ago I passed on 28 and 16ga guns because even though I love to reload hulls for these gauges were hard to find let alone ammo! I have a 22-410 and my kid has a little H&R 410. It never use to be hard to find 410 ammo not big selections but everyone has some. Now all I can find are 12, 28, 16, and 20 in that order at local shops! What is the deal I never saw so much 28 and 16! I figure it’s because no one is buying it? I always though popularity would go 12, 20, 410 then way back 28 and 16 he’ll I see more 10ga on the shelf than 410

amen. online is different, but then you have to deal with shipping charges and delivery services which are sometimes a headache with ammo. It’s out there but not when you’re looking for it or have extra money. I had to buy #6 game loads 3-box maximum at $25/box from Midway last year. I didn’t take a single shot last season lol I’m very picky with shots now

Years ago I bought a Saiga .410 to compliment my Mossberg 500 .410.
I immediately started laying in a stash of ammo to feed both.
I haven't bought any .410 ammo in 10 years and don't expect to for at least another 5 years or so...

"Local shops" hardly ever have any ammo in which I'm interested for serious purposes (other than training ammo).
Doesn't matter the gauge or caliber. I don't understand the crap that's often stocked.

Years ago I wanted to shoot my O/U 410 as much as possible and bird hunt with it. I bought a Mec 600 Jr shotshell press and started reloading the 2.5" Win AA hulls. I liked not having to buy the expensive factory ammo and I could load exactly what I wanted like copper plated shot. I had never loaded shotshells before but it was super easy on the Mec 600 Jr.
Still have plenty of components but I don't see any bags of shot for sale. Now I am beginning to use 20 ga more and lately I find it almost as difficult to locate at Walmart as 410. I have to tell myself If you see it buy it! When I was a teenager the cases of 12/16/20 generic field/game/dove loads were stacked high in the stores on the floors. What happened? LOL

Ya and Buck shot is unreal expensive. Are we thinking no one uses 410 for skeet and trap anymore, or is it because of guns like the judge it’s getting bought up
