A friend of mine has been competing in 3-gun for a couple of years now. She invited me to join her for the match in Wabash Aug 1 and 2, so off I go. I'll bring my own pistol and AR, and use her shotgun (I'll maybe take my pump shotgun along for a backup but I understand it's far from ideal for this).

My goal is to be safe, not get DQd, and I guess I'll make my "personal best" since it's my first match.

I was trying to find a basic recommended list of equipment. I'm not going to buy much new, but I have various things lying around from other events that I can probably put together. I'd just like a starting point to work with.

If you know of a list somewhere, I would appreciate the link. .

Have you ever watched a match?

After watching, I realized one of those belt clip shell holders is essential.

I briefly stopped by a match 2 years ago. And yes, I'm trying to figure out how to buy something that holds shells without investing more than a few bucks. It seems silly to get geared out extensively when the main handicap will be me, not my equipment :)

That's my place. Kudos for having the moxie to get it to it. :yesway:
