Read about the new caliber, 400 Legends. The ballistics I read showed it slightly better than the 350 L but I didn’t read if the casing length was longer than the 350 which I believe would make it not legal on public land in IN. I saw that Savage is already offering approx a dozen rifles in this caliber.

wondering what others were thinking about this new caliber

I believe the push for the straight wall cartridges is more for states like Ohio. There (last that I knew) wasn’t an overall length restriction on them like Indiana had.

I’m sort of interested in the 360 Buckhammer as it seems to be a 35 rem in a straight wall case but I’d have to decide to get back into hunting and I have a 30-30 so not sure it would do anything more for me anyway.

I loaded an AR15 magazine with 10mm to see how it stacks in normal stanag magazines.

I think it's going to end up being an awesome cartridge after seeing that. You're getting practically 450 bushmaster ballistics but with magazine capacity nearer that of 5.56.

That in an 11-12" barrel would make for quite the nasty little package.
