For the money I have discovered the CVA Scout, New England Handi Rifle and H&R are very accurate for the money. Of the three mentioned the CVA seems to handle a little better and feels really good.

By no means am I comparing them to high end carbines. If you want bang for your buck while deer hunting in Indiana, I have found these to be good picks.

I took a deer a few yrs ago with my dad's '66 Sporter.

you may want to look into a H&R single shot if you're using the gun for deer hunting. It only takes one shot anyway.

Shooting movers, multiple times, is downright fun
