aimsurplus and centerfire systems usually have good deals on mags. Most steel east euro mags will work fine in most AK's. Ammo wise, Wolf, Brown/Silver Bear, Goden Tiger, Tula, etc. are all non-corrosive. The Yugo surplus stuff is the most common corrosive ammo around now.

MFS is another brand to look at. I know at one time they had 1k rounds for $230. If you shoot currosive ammo, just make sure you clean your AK.

I acquired my first ever Roumanian AK 47 in a trade yesterday. I traded him a Bersa 380 for it. He traded it because he couldn't get hits with it. The front sight was all the way to the right. I used my bench vise to push the sight over to the center. I will shoot it this weekend for the frst time.

The barrel is chromed, I can see that. Is the gas system also chromed?

I have some Yugo corrosive ammo. I will flush it with water if I have to, but other advice is welcome.

    Thanks in advance.
