    Hi Ingo,

I heard from a guy on yahoo that you have to be 21 to purchase a pistol from a FFL holder, but he also said that the minimum age to purchase a handgun from a private seller is 18. I was just wondering if this was true. :draw:

21 to buy a handgun or handgun ammo. I didn't know that there was a difference if buying from an individual.
18 to get a permit to carry in Indiana.
It doesn't make any sense to me either.

Sadly yes. I am 18, and it is a pain in the butt! Same goes for ammo. 18 for rifle and shotgun ammo, but 21 for pistol ammo.

18 to get you carry license as well. So i can carry a loaded gun, but I can't go buy more ammo for it!

that is why you buy ammo for a riffle and accidentally put it in your handgun....... :D
