    hey guys
a buddy of mine wanted me to find him a large quantity of match ammo for his pre-ban M1A and Armalite AR-10

i dont know much about about .308/7.62x51 or the rifles he is using so i ask the question
which would be better for him to look into...(links below)
my buddy plans on buying at least 1k
-history of the shooter...hes more of a collector who wants the best ammo for his rifles...doesnt shoot much

    what do you all think

    Fiocchi Exacta .308 Win 168gr Sierra MatchKing HP 20rds 308MKB - .308/7.62 - Rifle Ammunition - Ammunition

    Fiocchi Exacta .308 Win 175gr Sierra MatchKing HP 20rds 308MKD - .308/7.62 - Rifle Ammunition - Ammunition

    Hornady Superformance Match .308 Win 178gr BTHP 20rds 8077 - .308/7.62 - Rifle Ammunition - Ammunition

he'd be better off getting small amounts of each, shooting them all in both his rifles and buying what shot the best in his guns. without actually seeing how the rifles respond to each type, there's no way to know.

This would make absolute sense if we were talking about a shooter. This guy is a collector that doesn't want to bother with getting his own ammo for his rifles. He asked a friend to get it for him.

Since my Official Title is Cynic, any ammo that is recommended to him as being the BEST will make him happy since he will just lock up the guns and ammo in a safe anyway.

OP, what is most important is that the boxes say the word "Match" to convince him he is getting the best ammo. He won't know the difference if he has to use it, since he probably won't be able to make hits on anything anyway.

Yes, I really am a cynic. But any of the three would be a good choice. For either rifle and a shooter behind the buttplate.
