any one know which model of Colt this is?

Ok, this is the pistol my dad carried while in Korea. He was not part of the Korean conflict as he is too young to have been involved in that. Based on dates, I guess he was actually part of the Vietnam war only he served in korea(does that make sense) I want to say he came home in '69. As you can imagine he is not one for much talk about it. Here are two pics of the pistol that I have. Any idea as to which Model this is?

M1911A1 ...yep it's a A1....hunch back and short trigger.....might not be a Colt...could be a Remington Rand,Singer,Union Signal&Switch,Ithaca,Remington UMC?

Looks like a 1911A1 to me. With the Peace sign hanging from the M2 I'd say late 60's era pictures.
