I love my Models 57-1 6 inch and 57-4 8 inch. Went through several Blackhawks and my current one is the special run of flattops in 6.5 inch Barrel. This is a very accurate Magnum. I shoot 240 Keith Style Lead, 210 Gr Sierra JHP and Winchester Platinum tips 240. Would love to get a contender barrel again.

A few weeks ago the 41 magnum guys were all smug, they could actually buy ammo.

my dad had one or two (smith 57 and a ruger blackhawk) he loved the 41 magnum/special, but at some point he got rid of them both, but had a ton of brass and loading dies, when i brought it all to my house, i pitched all the brass in the trash (3 hundred at least) but i still have the dies...you know...i probabally shouldt of done that, i bet the brass was worth a little bit...

I have a Smith 57 and picked up one of the Henry Big Boy Steel levers in 41. I enjoy this round. Mostly shoot 357 and 44 magnums, but I'll go down the 41 rabbit hole a few times a year. Always looking out for the 4" models.

I’ve never shot a .41 mag, I’m more of a .357 guy. I’m going to order a .357 maximum from Magnum Research once I get the money together.

I have a Lew Horton Smith and Wesson Model 657 that I inherited from my Dad. I shoot it a bit. It is a beautiful pistol.

Bought a 4 in. 1978 Model 57 no dash in 1990 and a rare fluted Ruger Bisley 7.5 in. in 1993. The .41 is still my favorite caliber but you really need to handload to get the most out of it and your gun. With the right load that cartridge will do anything you need done. I shot USPSA for a few years with the 57. That really freaked some people out when I told them what it was. Everyone that I have let shoot it tries to buy it. The Bisley was used for long range silhouette shooting (200 meters). I recently saw an interview with Clint Smith and he said his favorite carry gun is the 4 in. Model 57. I have to agree with him. I will never sell either one.
