The barrel on my AR is marked 5.56 nato 1/7.. c mp it is a 16" barrel could this be a Colt barrel?

I'm the least qualified of the people in this thread so far but I thought the C MP stood for Chrome and magnetic particle (tested)? In other words it is chrome lined and went through a process that removes possible machining particles that utilizes a magnet.

Kind of. But not for removing machining particles or dross. More to look for anomalies in the structure of the material.

The rifle is kind of strange...it has a Bushmaster lower...the upper matches the finish on the lower...but the barrel seems like it has a greenish parkerizing.
Very accurate rifle.
