AR15 and McFarland 3 rings in one Bolt gas rings.

Has anyone else tried the McFarland Bolt Gas Rings? This is the 3 in one gas ring (s) that have 3 rings but they are all wound into one ring i.e. there is only one fat ring that is the combined length of 3 rings.

I put one on my AR15 today and noticed that it is really a tight fit. I didn’t know if this could cause problems with the functioning of the bolt and carrier if the bolt is really tight due to the rings.

I guess I am just asking for input from anyone who has used this setup?

No problem, even the "normal" rings are tight when new. I've run thousands of rounds both ways and had no problems.

Use plenty of quality lube and you should not have an issue as long as the parts are in spec.
