    I just got an e-mail back from a former boss (2000-2003). He's been retired from the USAF for years when I worked for him, he retired as a USAF Civvie in 2005 or so. His first base was Bunker Hill in the early-mid 60s. I e-mailed him the info from the OP. He worked at the Alert Facility, said he was maybe 300 yards from the accident. He also said the Aircraft Commander and Senior Command Post Controller were relieved of duty and transferred.
