I and my sons have them on our 10.22s. Work well. Basic models.

I just bought this 4-16x50 IR mil dot to putz around with on a bolt action .223 Sniper Scope by Barska.

For $100 all in, I figured if it didn't work out I could put in on my marlin 60 to compliment the squirrels on the stock and start some fun conversations.

i wouldn't run one on anything i expected alot from. for a 50 yd 22 plinker it should work

what exactly is wrong with these scopes that I should be concerned about?

In general, in the realm of scopes / optics, you get what you pay for.

With Barska, you don't pay a lot. Ergo, you don't get a lot.

There are better options out there in the same price range; IE Simmons.
