    Could be anywhere
The last (and I mean last) time I rented from Hertz was from Ontario Apt in Los Angeles. They gave me a Toyota that had bizarre wiring and flashing sensors mounted around the cockpit. I drove it up to China Lake and there it began to exhibit weird activities like not starting or failing to keep running. It claimed it couldn't see the FOB. We spent way too much time on a business trip troubleshooting; changing batteries, repositioning the FOB, etc. We requested a replacement vehicle as this one was unreliable...they said we could exchange it in Barstow or at LAX.

So, we could take this POS out across the desert in hopes of exchanging it while still alive. FU Hertz, never again. Found a local concession that would take it and rent us another vehicle so we could live another day. The next day they sent a flatbed up and hauled it away.
