bicycle 22

I was looking at a bicycle 22 that a family member bought the other day and he said that he has seen some with wood in the stock.. I have never seen any like that.. This one just had the round rod frame.. not sure how wood would go in there.. any great knowledge out there?

Some of them had a wooden pistol grip shaped like a revolver with the tube buttstock coming from the bottom of it. If a person was so inclined they could make a two piece stock that clamped over the tubes to give the appearance of a regular buttstock.
