    I been reading lately about Browning Hi Power's and came across the term "beer can sights" referring to the rear sight which is adjustable... I am curious as to why they are called beer cans? I tried looking up the info myself on google but haven't came across anything. Anyone have any input on this?

    If im not mistaken basicly means its got the right hardware to be a tack driver.... beer cans would be the target

    plus that pic of that high power makes me want to go shoot mine today (well homework can wait)

    As I remember they made some Hi-Powers that had a stamped sheet metal sight that was round with a notch in the middle.. I really don't know how to describe it but that would be my guess as to what you are referring to. Link to pic below.
