Colt 1908 Vest 25acp value?

I am considering selling an inherited 1908 Colt Vest in 25acp. The condition is like new ( I would give it 99.9%) and I have the original box and paper in very good condition. I see on various gun online boards that the asking price varies anywhere from $400 - $1,000.00 How do I determine a "fair" market value both for the buyer and seller when there seems to be such a gap between high and low prices?

based on your description... probably in the 800s-900s (esp. w/ box and papers)
Is it blued, or nickel?
1 mag or 2? How many rounds do you suspect it's fired?

blued - like it just came off the production line.
