I picked this up over the weekend from a fellow INGOer. What a nice piece of history. The serial number shows a manufacture date of 1921. The gun is nice and tight and I can't wait to hit the range with her. I think I might get addicted to these old revolvers. You can just feel the quality in your hand with these old guns. :draw:

I have this one. I tried selling mine and then I took it out in the backyard and fired off a few rounds, it really has a nice feel and a good trigger pull, so I decided I would keep it and let my wife and grandaughter shoot it. Mine had a weld mark on the backstrap, there were two theories as to why, first thought was it used like stippling, as a grip aid, and the second thought was it was done to obliterate a police identification marking. Either case, it was filed smooth and refinished, so now I have a nice medium frame shooter.

That a nice one. I've seen alot of these online that do have police / company stampings such as Wells Fargs and American Express. Do you have any idea when yours was made? If the grips are original it's after 1924-25.
