Do you lie? (Fishing)

Do you lie when asked by a fellow fisherperson (PC certified) "How are they biting?"
Do you lie to hide the success you've had at certain locations?

Not if you are a true sportsman. I would want the other person to have a good day fishing also. I know that I have been lied to before by resort owners when attempting to plan a fishing trip out of state. They always tell you that the fishing is great. Then when you get there and the fishing sucks. You get the reply oh you should have been here a couple days ago.

I'm not much of a liar. Pretty much what runs through my head runs out my mouth. I have learned to be a little more conservative with my ratchet jawing though. I discovered that public lakes that I had been on by myself or with just another boat or two the year before were not becoming overrun. I've learned to slow down with the bragging and only throw open the cooler lid if we become really chummy.
