So do they refuse to ship ANY machining tools like lathes, drill presses and drill bits and files and machinist's vises because they "could be used" to make (or heaven forbid - MODIFY) a firearm?

Exactly. And it is their business to do with what they want.

Think your boycott of their services matters? Check the stock price before and after and see. Think you can do better? Let us know the name of your international door to door shipping company.

But that doesn't make sense if you ship actual firearms. What's more risky, the machine that makes them or the actual firearm?

The issue people are missing is that whoever told FedEx what, exactly, they were shipping and what it MIGHT be used for is why there's an issue in the first place. In my experience in corporate logistics and dealing with FedEx there is ZERO reason to tell FedEx exactly you are shipping and what it can be used for. "What are you shipping?" "CNC machine." Done, that's all they need to know besides weight and dimensions. Value you take care of online when you print the freight bill.

If you're stupid enough to tell anyone what you're shipping MIGHT be used for then you deserve to sit on a shipment you can't send.

Exactly. I have a relative that is guilty of always providing way too much information in most situations, and yet can't understand why she has so much drama in her life.
