This is a shot in the dark, but I'm getting desperate. I missed out on the spring season statewide firearm turkey hunt this year. I have been itching to get out and bag a turkey. The problem is my usual turkey hunting ground is in Newton County, which only allows bow hunting. Although I would like to do that at some point, I do not own a bow nor am I proficient enough at it to have a successful hunt. So, that brings me to my question. Do any of you guys (or anyone you know) have land in Fountain, Park, Vermillion, or Warren County with turkeys on it that would be willing to give me permission to hunt it? I understand this is a long shot, but I'm hoping for some goodwill and brotherhood among fellow hunters. I would certainly be more than willing to talk to or meet with anyone that would be willing to consider allowing me to hunt on their land.
