I have been blessed over the last 20 years or so, by friends and acquaintances, gifting me ammunition that they no longer needed.
It may have been something that they purchased and never used, or it may have been left over from dad or grandpa's collection when they passed.
I decided this year I would like to try my hand at turkey hunting so I started searching through my ammo cache for legal shot.
Realizing finding appropriate ammo at this late date could be problematic, I was hopeful I could find at least 1 box of 12ga something or another.
I was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you!
I ended up finding legal shot in 12ga, 16ga, 20ga, AND .410 bore!
I found,
A full 25 round box of Federal Premium Hibird 5 shot
A few rounds of "Black Cloud 12ga
Several boxes of 4,5, and 6 shot Remington game load
4 boxes of Winchester Super X 12ga 5 shot
Some Western Super X Mark 5 16ga 4 shot
I even found a full box (25 rounds) of paper hulled Peters Victor field loads 20ga 6 shot
Guess I'm set for a season or two!
