Some of you may remember I had a hammer follow issue on my new Para GI LTC. Well after a trip to the LGS for a fix it seemed to be fixed....it wasnt. Had a buddy look at it and it turns out it had a bad sear (MIM part). So instead of sending it off to Para for an undetermined amount of time I ordered up the parts myself and had a buddy install them.

Parts ordered were an Ed Brown Sear, Hardcore barstock hammer and a Wilson full length guide rod with Shock Buffs and upp'd firing pin spring. Buddy even tightened up the tension on the back strap safety to eliminate some "rattle" in it. I have not put any rounds thru it since the fix but here are a couple pics.

Plan on getting SS parts for the Slide stop, thumb safety, trigger and Mag release to finish dressing her up.

Not a single flat spot on it to catch the hammer. It was almost completely rounded off. The sear had a sponge like appearance if you looked close. Possible QC missed a bad casting, a molded sandstone sear might have even worked better!
