Need your help please; would you sell off a nice Ruger Single-Six convertable .22lr 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition revolver to put toward a Ruger SR40? I really like the SR 40 and I love this .22 but somethings gotta go. I also will be selling an LCP toward the SR 40. I have the following but don't want to consider selling these (would you?)...
    1. Ruger Speed Six 4" .38/.357
    2. Ruger Speed Six 3" .38/.357
    3. S&W model 40-1 .38+P
    4. Glock 19
    5. Ruger LCP

I have a simple motto that applies to guns and motorcycles:

If you don't shoot (ride) it on a regular basis, sell it to someone who will.

The single six is the only thing you listed as owning that is cheap to shoot, regardless if you reload or not. If the cost of ammo is a factor to you, I think I would keep a .22 LR around.

Keep the .22 for cost to shoot alone. I'd get rid of one of the speed six's since they are so close to being duplicate. Everything else seems to have a place. Having to rid of some to buy others is always a sad day for me as well. Good luck!

I just had to do the same thing earlier this year. Sold my CZ 75b (and a few others that i didnt care so much for) to help pay for my FN SCAR 16s. If i were you id sell the glock, you can always get a new glock. The speed six's arent in production anymore and I would consider them part of the collection along with the single six. I would keep the rugers.

The single six is the kind of gun you will hand down to your kids, and them to your GRANDKIDS.

My dad has a single six that his father got when he was a boy. It's still every bit as good a shooting gun as the day it was new.

sadclownwp, I kinda thought that too but then it brings up another dilemma...I'd be short a 9mm pistol. Not sure I want to be without a 9. I ultimately want both 9mm & .40sw. Life is soooo hard.

I would keep that single six, you will regret selling it! You will probably be able to get a Glock or SR 40 fairly easy and may even cheaper than trying to replace that awesome single six..

I would sell me that S&W model 40. Seriously, I would sell the Glock, I have a G19 that I have never shot and doubt that I ever will, just waiting for the right trade to come along
