    Many people when they want to get better at a certain drill or test just practice the test ad infinitum. While this may work eventually, there is a better way. Yes he starts the video with some sarcasm.

    I know the shot timer stores a lot of info but my main concern is always time to first shot on target.. I believe for most that carry on a daily basis knowing your gear and how quickly you can engage a target safely is a great place to start to hone your skills.

    As one pushes Father Time for Predictive Practice, he may want to forego the “habit holstering”. It breeds a happening waiting for an accident and serves no learned process that you will never need.

    I pretty much always practice with a timer. I like using standards from point 1 tactics and modern samurai project as an example. We use plenty of others but those are very good.
