    As the owner of various 1911s (designed for military purposes and used from WWI through present day by our Armed Forces), that did not escape my attention. :n00b:

    :dunno: I was going to post something smart. But honestly I can't think of an example. Even a lot of muzzle loading rifles were once weapons of war. Most modern bolt action "hunting" rifles are based off the Mauser. Even shotguns are used by the military.

    Single shots such as the encore or NEF pardners/handy rifle. Maybe some of the dedicated rimfire target pistols would fit into a non military category.

    Someone argued with me about ARs are not "necessary" for us.
    He's going to get a Winchester. That's good enough.
    I almost fell over laughing.
    After the civil war, the Winchester was the "assault rifle"
