Just ordered my 1st AR kit

FWIW, I ordered a PSA upper last Saturday (1 week ago). It shipped this morning, despite the 10-15 business day disclaimer.

False alarm. They only shipped the Magpul hand guard I ordered, not the upper itself.

One tip, make sure the room you build in is clean and free of clutter. Preferably with no carpet. Makes finding the occasional "flyer" so much easier.

I had a blast putting my first one together. I bought a complete 7.62x39 rifle kit and a stripped lower. Had so much fun I think I may invest in some tools and build the upper myself next time.

Update: My PSA upper arrived Friday. One day shy of two weeks from the time I ordered until delivery.

I ordered the kit and the lower on 4/4 and a red dot on 4/5. The red dot arrived on 4/9 which is very good. I just received emails saying my lower will be at my FFL tomorrow and the kit will be at my house on Friday which means I will have received everything in 14 days (10 working days).

Since they advertise 15 days on their website, the fact that they are a week early is pretty good IMHO.

good armors tools will make your life easier... receiver blocks and armorers wrenches. and absolutely.... watch out installing springs/detents.. they fly far and fast and always to somewhere you can't reach. Good luck

I also just bought my first AR through PSA as well, and am very excited to put it together.
