KelTec PF-9/P11 intercahangeable parts?

I picked up a PF-9 a week ago and took it out to shoot, the snappiness of the recoil is a little much, so I really don't feel comfortable putting it into the ladies hands. Now I was wondering if I could purchase a heavier Wolf recoil spring made for the P11 and put it in the PF-9...I figure that if the guide rods are interchangeable then maybe the springs are as well, any thoughts??

OF course, the frames are totally different, but I have never compared the slides and recoil assemblies.
