Looking for primitive camping

Im looking for an area to camp with a few friends and need some help. I'm looking into the Hoosier national forest. I'm wanting an area that we could hike in a few miles and camp for a day or two. Maybe even a trail that we could go off of and camp. Possibly an area around a small lake. I just don't want to camp and see people hiking by. I've seen some stuff online about the Charles deam wilderness area, does anyone have experience with this area or have suggestions on primitive trails in the Hoosier national forest?

It's a drive, but the Nantahala National Forest.
