Marlin 39A Identification

I have a Marlin 39A. I'm trying my best to identify what year it was made. According to everything that I can find I think that it was made sometime between 1939-1941. I am attaching a pic of the date code which is below the lever. Any help that I can get would be greatly appreciated.
