Mini 14 factory folder swap

A friend is wanting to sell or trade a pretty beat up ruger mini-14 with the factory folding 1980s style stock which is decent and still locks in and out without much wobble. His rifle is 184 prefix mine is newer model with flash hider probably around 2016 manufacture. Is it a drop in swap or is it gonna require modifications to the stock?

No Mods needed. But the ramline folder is far better. I have one and tried both.
