Why we let the privately-held Federal Reserve (who is also the single largest holder of our debt) control and manipulate our currency is nothing short of criminal. Bernanke will not stop printing money until we are out of trees and the government manipulates data figures (ever wonder why food and energy AREN'T included in inflation reports!). Also, you don't think that the DOW hitting 12,000 has anything to do with the government pumping a few trillion of printed money into the stock market (the Primary Dealer banks are making BILLIONS off of free 0% taxpayer money on this charade and paying themselves BILLIONS in bonuses on these ill-gotten profits) and bailing out/sustaining inefficient companies that should have been allowed to go bankrupt has anything to do with it?
Unless some radical changes back towards rationality happens soon, America as we have known her, is toast and our decendents will be debt slaves.

On a money related note. I laughed out loud when the Pres was talking about the market being "up" during his SOTU address.

Well of course the numbers are higher. You're using a shorter stick to measure the market.
