OK Mosin experts. I decided to dig this one out of the safe.

It is a 1946 Izhevsk M44 (this is all I know from google'ing it)
    The stock had been refinished.
There is some pitting on the front of the barrel and the sight.

Any guesses what this would be worth?

(The flash made the rust pitting look worse than it is, but it is still there)

It looks similar to one I currently have for sale. Mine does not have the rust or the refinished stock. I have it for $260, I think. I got an offer lower and accepted it, but I haven't got a response from him since I said "yes".:)

With the bit of rust and the refinished stock I would say around$175- $200.00. Also making this guestimate not knowing if all the numbers match and the condition of the bore.

Agree with above post. $175 on the low end. You might've got $225 in that shape if it was a 43. I can see the concentric circle accuracy stamp on the left side of the barrel. Does the receiver have any other stampings.

Devil is in the details on Mosins.

To a shooter $150.00, to a Mosin Nagant collector........... a lot less.

The stock refinishing is what hurts this rifles value, collectors perfer the arsenal finish on the stock, no matter how awful it may be.

Yeah - some might go for more these days but most don't have that much pitting.

$150 is a good price. You may be able to get more with the right buyer.

I don't need it at all but I'd give ya $150 if you were close to Indy.
