    Nice! That is pretty cool that someone thought to get people to stop and post about the silly things they ended up grabbing. 3 days later and the life stress of getting back home would have resulted in nobody remembering what they actually took.

    Stuff like this is why I keep several duffle bags packed with some basic stuff in addition to a BOB. There's a packing list taped to the outside of each bag listing contents
    Grab and go. One less thing to worry about thinking through under stress.
    I suppose you could use totes or other containers as alternatives; I used duffles because I had several laying around the house after my years in the military, and I figured that if I am tossing stuff in the car space will be a premium and duffles have more "give" to them than a hard container.

    BOBs are packed but I have tiered checklist depending on how much time and type of evacuation. Eliminates thinking and allows me to delegate, "gather the stuff on this list".

    I too too planned on duffle bags because I had a bunch. Thanks for the logical reason TC556GUY.
