OP- I get where you’re coming from. I love my 365’s trigger. When I tried my dad’s XL, I was surprised how gritty it was. Definitely not an upgrade over the stock 365. And I’m not an anti-flat trigger guy. I LOVE my 320 X compact trigger. I don’t know what the deal is with the XL’s trigger (maybe my dad’s is an aberration?). Unless you need or want the extra slide length of the XL, I’d ditch the gun and go back to a regular old 365. YMMV.
The trigger is swappable and the FCU's are the same... No need to ditch the gun, even if the slide length of the XL is not wanted any more that's an easy fix with a slide/barrel and recoil spring assembly swap.

I have no problems with the feel of the trigger action. What I don't like is the shape of the flat trigger. And... I have considered purchasing another standard P365. Or just an entire FCU.

Havent messed w my P365. Like it as is. But it cant be that hard to swap a trigger.

But then I think Ruger MKs are simple.

Which reminds me to order trigger shims for my POS Ruger 3 screw Super.
