Ok, someone please talk me out of this. I may be able to scratch together some money to pick one of these up. I've read some posts about "cheap" 1911's.

I have my Beretta 96 as a carry weapon but I really want to try the 1911. Add it to my collection, I mean come on, everyone has to have a .45!

Any cons about the gun? I've watched video's of the gun and I'm pretty surprised at the lack of recoil on the gun.

    Help me, I'm addicted.... again...

I love mine, have a new one on the way in fact, a bit of warning, 1911's are like Lay's, no one can have just one. Buy it, you know you want to. Just get a RIA, nice gun, great price.

I have been pleased with all of the Para 1911's I have owned in the past. I have a para carry that makes it into my rotation quite often.

That being said, mine have all been single stack varieties, and I have no experience with the double stack 1911's.

For the price, the RIA 1911's are hard to beat.

I also enjoy my Springfield 1911's, and many of them can be had at a reasonable price.

    CONS of the 1911? Blasphemy....
Many consider the single stack capacity a con, however the slim width is also a pro...
