I am getting ready to purchase an rt1200 trimmer for the 550, but am unclear on the case prep process once I get one of these. Normally I resize, which also expands the neck and decaps the brass. Will I need 3 different stations now? 1 to decap, 1 to size/trim, and one to expand the neck?

I think the manual says you can de-cap and resize in station 1 and then put the trimmer in station 3. That's what I've done. Seems to work for me.

I've never trimmed straight walled cases, only .223. There is a powder adapter that you put in station 2 (powder funnel) that should flare out the mouth when you are ready to load. BTW, when I get to this part, I put in a universal de-capper in station 1 instead of a sizing die.

    Hope this helps!
