Are these better than a mp 15 22

Depends on what you want to use it for...

If you want to use it as a trainer for an AR-15... then yes, without a doubt, the 15-22 is better.

STOCK... both are great guns and have pro's and cons. However, because of the aftermarket for the Ruger... the 10/22 can be built to fit any specific niche and outperform the 15-22 in every way except in being an AR-15 trainer.

I can't say enough great things about the 10/22. It's extremely accurate and is one of he few 22s I've had that has few problems with .22 bulk packs. And the modifications are almost endless.

Why not just buy all after market pieces? it would be cheaper. What would you end up using off of a 10/22?
I was gonna do the same thing, but decided to leave the 10/22 together and build from scratch. Receiver was the only thing I was gonna use,and they can be had cheaper than a 10/22. Check out Rimfire.com
