I came across some Russian steel case 22 LR ammo. Wondering if anyone has used any of this. The box is green, it says "JUNIOR" and .22 long rifle rim fire cartridges on the box. The lot number is P86. Everything I could find on it says it is junk. Lots of squibs, cases sticking in the chamber, and poor performance.
    Thoughts?

I had a small sample (box of each), both shorts and long rifle. It is every bit as bad as people say and is hands down the worst 22 I have ever experienced. Luckily, the ones I had appear to have actually been non-corrosive. I guess I lucked out there!

When I was a kid we used to buy the cheap Russian ammo and thought it was exotic. Back then the stuff was less than a $1/box and as a young teenager affordable.

If you have a cartridge collection that is great ammo to add to your collection.....I would not shoot that stuff unless I was real desperate .....

Thanks for all of your input. I have a collector friend, I'll give him a call and see if he wants it.
