S&W Serial number help

Im trying to figure out exactly what I have here...
Its a model 13, 4" heavy barrel. I have no idea what series its (i.e. 13-1, 13-2, 13-3) I'm looking into when it was made and what it might be worth. 95% condition.

The serial number is 4D39***

I'm at work now. When I get home I'll look up how I figured mine out. Unless someone else does it before me.

Did you try wikipedea. Not the best source of info, but I think they list the models and differences.

1979 vintage. Should be a 13-2.
