Going to chime in. Less lethal can be an option under the correct circumstances. Key is are you going to have enough time to take into account positioning, wind direction etc prior to deploying pepper spray? Might not be a bad idea to set up some potential scenarios such as coming across an attack Pumpkin, engage it deploy your pepper spray. How did it perform? We’re their disadvantages that you were not aware of? Understanding the stuff is expensive you don’t want to find out the hard way on its maiden voyage it did not work out as planned.

Training is important also in ways when some give little to no thought. While FOF is a good thing to have added to your repertoire there are other training exercises that often get over looked because they are not in vogue.

Good thing is that some of the most important training can be done at little to now cost. Train to be in the best physical condition that you can be.

Another almost non lethal option is a good carry light invaluable for many situation.
