My wife owns a P238 and has held/dry-fired a S&W Bodyguard. In her own words, she said that she preferred the more substantial feel of the P238, the sights were better on the P238 and that the trigger was much nicer than the Bodyguard. For her, the laser was nice, but was something that she could always add to the P238 if she ever needed it.

Oh... She also says that her P238 is MUCH better looking. :)

I have never shot the BG380, i've only looked at it and held it. i have a Sig P238 for my EDC. For me, the Sig just felt better and more solid...it just felt right. I don't much care for the looks of the BG380. Maybe the .38 though!
For me, it was Sig P238, since the day i first held one.

I've shot both of the guns in question, though I do not own either. The P238 was MUCH more comfortable and easy to shoot quickly and accurately than the Bodyguard. If you don't mind a single-action, the SIG is well worth the extra :spend:

If you must have a DAO, I suggest going with the Kahr P380 instead.
