05-18-2017 I wrote about my Sig Sauer Masquito failure to fire.
I went through a box of Winchester ammo and had several failure to fire.
I called Sig Sauer and spent $35.00 to return it to Sig.
They shipped it back saying TOK. wrong Ammo use "CCI".
Today I put it through it paces again.
Again I used Winchester. 4 mags of 6 rounds each.
Two to three failures to fire per mag. repeat double strike and two triple strike and rounds fired.
I purchased a new box of CCI. exactly the same results.
In my judgement the problem is the firing pin in the Sig.
I believe it is a few thousands short.

I sold my mosquito after several months of the same issues, bought a Ruger MarkIII and never looked back.

I was so excited for that gun when I bought it. I thought it would be a great analogous trainer for my Sig 220/226/229(s)...how wrong I was. That thing wouldn't run on most .22LR ammo at all, and barely ran on the high-velocity CCIs. It isn't the ammo, it is the design of the pistol.

Look at it this way...if you want to keep it as a training aid it will help you learn how to deal with FTFs in real time. Tap, rack, squeeze, repeat.

If you want a Sig that runs reliably on "cheap" ammo, buy a P226 chambered to 9mm. It is an awesome platform.

If you want a .22LR that runs reliably on almost any ammo pick up a Ruger MarkIII (or IV). I love mine.

    What really bothers me.
I traded my Browning Bullmark for the Sig.
I could not grip the slid any more to rack it.
I looked for someone to mount a bar across the slide.
Nobody would do it for me. so I sought out something new.
    What a MISTAKE!

I put around 300 rounds through mine, and it broke in fine.
Occasionally would ftf with bulk ammo, but very seldom with the good stuff.
    I'd look into a 226 or 229 classic. 22.
They run well once broken in, and will accept centerfire kits.
