Do you have to have the bolt locked back in order to put a mag in the gun? Cause mine won't take a mag unless I manually hold the bolt open

Hold the bolt open, from bottom of mag well inside reciever push up on a slide that locks bolt open.

Yes, unless you mod the bolt in which you can then insert a mag with the bolt closed. The mod is very easy to do and only takes a few minutes. I used an angle grinder, files, and some sand paper. Works like a charm.

Or....you can lock the bolt back and shove in a 10rnd stripper clip.
