Steel cases, .22lr cases, and other unreloadables

What do all you fine people do with your unreloadable casings?

After sorting through a few buckets, I still end up with quite a few steel and .22lr, and don't really know how to recycle them. Do people even recycle them?

I pitch. If you wanted to scrap them, I wouldn't expect much for them.

Yes people recycle them. Brass can bring a decent price.
Whether it is worth sorting it and storing it, is up to you.

As for the brass 22lr cases… If you have the patience it’s possible to use them as jackets for 22 cal lead bullets used in center fire cartridges.

I've reloaded a lot of steel cased 45ACP. It has to be boxer primed though. Some isn't. If it has two flash holes in it it isn't reloadable.

It is possible to reload 22LR if your desperate. I've never felt the need to.

The spot price for scrap yellow brass today is $1.53. If you could amass a couple hundred pounds you would have 300 bucks

There are folks on other forums that buy 22lr casings for this purpose. Last post I saw they were asking for clean ones.
