My rifle stock is considerably lighter than most rifles, its completely free floated, plastic with multiple channels within the mold.

If these "channels" were occupied by some kind of weight could I expect any more accuracy out of the rifle

    or

Is there any advantages to adding weight to the stock? reduced recoil, etc?

Recoil in a 22 is a non issue in any form. The added wieght would benifit you from a stabilty stand point more than anything. I have a 802 bolt action Plinkster that i did add weight to the butt stock as well as adding some resin to the channels shown in your bottom pic ( which looks like a plinkster stock). The biggest thing I found from doing this was having a much stable rifle when shooting from a bench. It didnt move around as much due to it being so lite in its stock form.

I'm not sure you can get much more accurate at 50 yards. You might wanna move back and see how you group at 100 or 150 yards. Then start from there.

    Good shootin'. :yesway:
